Thank you for asking about our wedding registry. Your love and friendship are the best gifts: we treasure them always and they are more than enough.
After commuting between households we are fortunate to have had the past three years together in our San Francisco home. We combined the holdings of two pack rats and still need to pare down our collections.
We know that some of our guests want to honor our wedding with something more and have asked us for some suggestions.
May we suggest the following less traditional ideas?
A gift to worthy organizations; here are some of the causes we support:
American Civil Liberties Union
San Francisco Public Libraries
Lifeline Cat Rescue (no web site) This is the small non-profit cat rescue organization that Robert used to work with; to donate, make your check out to "Life Line, Inc." and send it to
Lifeline Cat Rescue
c/o Life Line, Inc.
323 East Matilija Street, #200
Ojai, California 93023
Please write "Lifeline Cat Rescue" in the memo on your check.
Central City Hospitality House
Of course, you are welcome to donate to any other group that you believe in.
Your gift in any amount is a generous and thoughtful act. We don't need to know the dollar amount, but we would enjoy knowing which organization you gave to. If you wish, you may make your donation “In celebration of the marriage of Linda Cicero and Robert Kennedy.” Most charities will honor this request, and if you give them our address, they will often send us a card that says “a gift has been made in your name.”
A gift of a consumable item
We like wine and single malt scotch. If you have a passion for a particular libation and would like to share a bottle of that with us we'd be delighted.
We are not registered with any retailer.
We have lust in our hearts for a nice espresso machine. If you like you can help us with a small gift certificate to Williams-Sonoma; we plan to buy one from them.
Many thanks to our friends Sean and Louise whose wording we liberally plagiarized for this page.
